Blog

Thanks for looking at my blogs. I'm definitely a better painter than writer, so please don't judge my writing and grammar skills too harshly. I'm just hoping to share some of my random thoughts and insights about art, paintings and life in general. Please feel free to comment or share with others! Hope  you enjoy.

A close cousin of mine, Mark Green, just completed and sold one of his recent Abstract paintings. About a year ago, Mark had discovered he had a rather large brain tumor. He had the tumor removed and is now successfully recovering, thanks to the miracle of modern medicine and very talented surgeons. Although this has been a very tragic experience for Mark and his family, it has also been a remarkable gift and blessing, because Mark has a new found zest and outlook for life. It has awakened his focus and devotion to his family, God, friends, and art.  All the things that really matter in this short life we have. I will keep encouraging him to keep painting, simply because of his talent and the rewards that painting gives all us who do it, whether we have to meet incredible health challenges as Mark did. or to just fulfill the creative spirit with in us.

Nice work Mark! Keep painting.

This is my story of meeting Russell Kraus and owning three of his paintings. I didn’t even know who Russell was.

My daughter, Mindy (which I'm extremely proud of) is an early education teacher. She is also a very talented artist. She and her school, La Petite Academy in Arnold held an art show at their Preschool.

This book and man changed my life. It happened several years ago. Most painters who study art know of Robert Henri and his teachings.

I recently opened a Chinese fortune cookie and read my fortune. Most fortunes are fun to read, laugh at, share and then throw away. This one was different.

I'm just a general fan of people who have great passions and love for what they do. I think that is why I like the show Treehouse Masters shown on Animal Planet.

My most recent painting series (which I'm still working on) is the quaint east coast scenes of villages, fishermen, boats/harbors, and the beautiful countryside.
