I started painting landscapes seriously in the mid 90’s. After discovering and studying the regional art colonies/art schools such as the Hoosier Salon in Brown County IN., the Hudson River School, the New Hope School in Bucks County, the Western/Monterrey schools and the Taos/Santa Fe Schools, I gained a great appreciation for these early American artists and their beautiful landscapes.

The palette I use for my landscapes is very limited. I typically use only 5 colors and white, giving the paintings a very bright and intense color.
